What’s the big idea?
Citigroup’s chief innovation officer will let bank employees know today. Antonio (Yobi) Benjamin, global chief technology officer and managing director of global transaction services at Citibank, will name the winners of Citi’s “best innovation idea” staff contest today.
Citi solicited ideas on how it should innovate the financial institution from all of its employees.
“We received thousands of entries,” Benjamin said. “The experience has been extremely positive and helpful to employee engagement.”
Citi employs more than a 250,000 employees worldwide.
William, thanks for your comment. I agree that panic is counterproductive. Intuitively, the Fed’s actions should work. The concern, however, is that none have so far. All these actions not just by the Fed and Treasury, but by global central banks too, will work — I have no doubt. The big questions are 1) how long will they take to work? and 2) the world, or at least the US, could still fall into a deep recession despite all these best efforts. I, for one, am not hopeful about our economic condition over the next 12 to 18 months.
