GoBank Project Runway

GoBank is going high fashion.

Mobile-first bank account GoBank, a product of Green Dot Corp., continued its summer marketing push, appearing on the small screen last night on Lifetime’s Project Runway. (See clips from the show in the video below.) Each contestant is given a GoBank account — the mobile app along with the debit card — with which they will manage spending over the course of the season.

They should include designing the best custom debit card as one of the show’s challenges.

How much did this sponsorship cost? Given the number of times host Tim Gunn said “GoBank” on the premiere episode, we bet it didn’t come cheap!

GoBank has already broken new marketing ground by distributing fliers in Rite Aids and KMarts across the country.
