Alon Zadka, senior innovation head for the Lloyds Banking Group, has left the bank to head for an industry at the “pre-disruption” stage.
Prior to his role at Lloyds, Zadka served as a strategy consultant for OC&C Strategy Consultants, with a focus on the company’s UK and international clients.
At Lloyds for four years, Zadka was instrumental in the creation of the bank’s innovation team—an extension of its digital strategy team—which was launched in 2013. During his time with this group, Zadka oversaw proof of concepts and other innovation efforts conducted by Lloyds.
The bank worked with a number of fintech companies under Zadka’s watch, including the savings app Swave. “The traffic of ideas is two-way,” notes a Lloyds blogpost about the bank’s work with Swave.
Zadka also took the time to participate in a fireside chat at Bank Innovation Israel last November in Tel Aviv.
He will now serve as the UK head of innovation for global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills. Fintech will miss him.
Stepping away from #fintech for a while, diversifying into #legaltech / #lawtech. Shout out if you have anything for me. #disruption baby!
