Why do consumers start applications for loan or deposit products and then abandon the process? Are they confused? Do they run out of time? Are they unprepared or unwilling to provide the information the application requires? It’s hard to tell; the same application looks entirely different to a banker than it does to a first-time applicant.
To understand abandonment, we need to dig deeper into the psychology of the user. That’s why we hired Devjit Basu. As Director of User Experience, he makes sure Andera’s engineers build tools that are intuitive and easy to use, both for our clients and for their customers and members.
About Devjit Basu:
Before joining Andera, Basu served as the Vice President of User Experience and Design at Blackrock, where he focused on improving user experience for a suite of 20 online applications, and as the Assistant Vice President of User Experience at BNY Mellon. Basu received an Bachelor’s in Architecture from the School of Architecture (CEPT) in Ahmedabad, India in 1994 and a MFA from in Design Technology from the Parsons School of Design in 2003.
