Set to launch its standalone app in 2017, Zelle is already partnered with 20 banks to help achieve its goal of creating an interconnected P2P ecosystem.

The app, which is also partnered with card providers Visa and Mastercard, allows users to make P2P money transfers, as well as other action with their money, with all of the speed and security provided by its growing horde of banking partners.

Some of Zelle’s capabilities are already live on the mobile apps of a few banks, but its the standalone app Bank Innovation is watching out for.
